नौ. पो. तमाल ही अत्याधुनिक स्टिल्थ लढाऊनौका रशियातील कलिनिनग्रादमधल्या यंतार
गोदीत 1 जुलै 2025 ला भारतीय नौदलात सामील करण्यात आली. या युद्धनौकेला ‘परदेशात बांधली गेलेली भारतीय
नौदलाची शेवटची युद्धनौका’
म्हणून संबोधलं जात आहे. प्रकल्प
1135.6 (क्रिवाक वर्ग) मालिकेतील ही आठवी आणि तुशील वर्गातील दुसरी बहुपयोगी
स्टिल्थ लढाऊनौका आहे. ही युद्धनौका म्हणजे समुद्रावर संचार करणारा अतिशय अभेद्य
किल्लाच आहे. नाविक युद्धतंत्रातील निळ्या पाण्यावरील मोहिमांच्या आकाश,
सागरीपृष्ठ, पाण्याखाली आणि इलेक्ट्रोमॅग्नेटिक या चारही आयामांमध्ये सक्षमपणे
कार्यरत राहील असं तमालचं आरेखन करण्यात आलं आहे. तमाल भारतीय नौदलाच्या पश्चिम ताफ्याचा भाग असणार आहे. तोफखाना आणि क्षेपणास्त्र युद्धतंत्रातील तज्ज्ञ असलेले कॅप्टन श्रीधर टाटा हे तिचे पहिले कमांडर आहेत. सामिलीकरण समारंभ

INS Tamal (F71)
state of the art stealth frigate has been commissioned in to the Indian Navy
at Yantar Shipyard, Kaliningrad, Russia on 1st July 2025. This
warship is refered as ‘the last foreign built warship of the Indian Navy’. INS Tamal is the
eighth multi-role stealth frigate in the series of Project 1135.6 (Krivak-class) and
the second of the additional follow-on Tushil class frigate. She is a
formidable moving fortress at sea and designed for blue water operations
across the spectrum of naval warfare in all four dimensions i.e. air,
surface, underwater and electromagnetic. INS Tamal will be a part of Western Fleet of the Indian Navy. She is commanded by Capt. Sridhar Tata, a gunnery and missile warfare specialist. The commissioning

strategic partnership between India and Russia. The Indo-Russian strategic
partnership has stood the test of time, with INS Tamal being the 51st
ship being produced under this collaborative effort in the past 65 years. About INS Tamal ·

equipped with BrahMos long range supersonic cruise missile as well as
Humsa-NG Sonar system. ·
She is equipped
with Russian weapon systems including the vertical launched surface to air
missile Shtil-1. She is also equipped with artillery weapons and torpedoes. ·
She is an
amalgamation of Indian and Russian technologies with a host of state of the
art communication and network centric operational capabilities. ·
Advanced
electronic warfare suite and advanced EO/IR systems adds ears and eyes to
this warship. ·
The highly
versatile combat management system fuses all weapons and sensors into an
effective fighting machine. · She has
improved 100 mm gun, standard 30 mm CIWS, urgent-attack anti-submarine
rockets. ·
She can cruise
at 30 knots per hour speed. ·
Length 125 m,
width 15.2 m, weight 3900 tons. ·
The warship can
carry Kamov-28 and Kamov-31 upgraded Anti-submarine and Airborne Early
Warning helicopters. ·
She has been
equipped with complex automated systems for nuclear, biological and chemical
defence. · INS Tamal is
manned by a crew of about 250 sailors and 26 officers. |
